When you receive this postcard, our family of five will be together in the Canary Islands with the Africa Mercy.
No sooner had we posted our last newsletter describing our plans to
return to California, than we discovered that our fingerprints, taken
in June, had never been sent to the U.S. for processing. Therefore,
Keyara could not be granted an immigrant visa for the U.S. This was a
HUGE shock that necessitated a total change in our plans. Since Kreig’s
job replacement won’t arrive until April, we can remain on the Africa Mercy
working productively until our return to California in March or April.
Meanwhile, Keyara is legally ours and has a Liberian passport so she
can travel with us. When the ship returns to Liberia in February 2008,
we will finalize her visa and plan our return to California. We
appreciate your prayers and support of us and our work, especially
during this time. May this Christmas season be a reminder of God’s love
for you, demonstrated by the gift of his Son!
~ Kreig, Karen, Kaitlyn, Kaleb and Keyara
