He is risen, He is risen indeed!
Greetings from onboard the m/v Africa Mercy! This Easter has been a meaningful time as a family - we've watched our older children grasp a deeper understanding for why we celebrate Easter. Three highlights:
- We helped coordinate a time for the children on board (about 40 kids) to hear the Resurrection Egg story and then dye 600 eggs for the Easter brunch.
- Kaitlyn was especially impacted by the Jesus Film for Children and has verbalized her understanding of the price that Jesus paid on the cross and how thankful she is that He died for her!
- Kaitlyn was part of the Easter service today: reciting a poem with her school and performing a dance with her ballet class.
Many people have been wondering about our future plans. Due to a variety of circumstances we have decided to stay on board until the end of the school year and plan to be in California by the end of June. We are in the midst of writing a newsletter to give you more details. Thank you for your continued support and prayers during this time of transition. This has turned out to be a much longer process than we had anticipated - but we are grateful for an opportunity to continue helping the poor and needy here in Liberia.
Love, Kreig, Karen, Kaitlyn, Kaleb and Keyara Ecklund
